Sponsored Development
Krita has sponsored development since 2009. Sponsoring development has proven to be a great way to accelerate Krita's development and growth -- both when it comes to creating an energetic contributor community with a healthy combination of sponsored and volunteer contributors and when it comes to giving more and more artists a great tool.
Developers have been sponsored through donations, sponsored projects working together with companies like Intel or the Blender Studio and through sales of Krita in app stores.
